Release Notes - February 2025

New Functionality & Enhancements

  • Accolade Projects introduces an updated user experience for assigning resources to a project

With this release, resource assignment on projects has been reworked to give a modern, more intuitive and efficient user experience. On a project's Resources tab, the Resources to Add button has been renamed to Resource - Quick Add, and now features an updated user interface with the ability to add multiple resources at once. On the same page, the Find Resources by Group button has been replaced by the new Advanced Resource Selector button, that opens a new dialog with enhanced functionality which authorized users may use to request resources for the project, for a specific period of time.

This new Advanced Resource Selector dialog includes:

    • The Attributes tab, where the required resource Group (i.e. Pool, Job Role, Team, etc.) must be selected; other attributes may be added here, if relevant.

    • The Availability tab, where the date range for the resource(s) are set, and the minimum allocation needed of the resource(s) for the project are set.

    • The Select Resources tab, where the required resources must be selected from the list.

    • The Finalize tab, where the selected resources are displayed, with their dates and capacities; and any necessary adjustments may be made.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Accolade Integration issues

Note:  Accolade is an optional Stage Gate Innovation Management solution that you may not have access to. To learn more, click here or contact Wellspring Sales.

    • Fixed issue with managing tasks and phases when creating templates with Accolade projects: Previously, in some instances, templates created from an Accolade project would display an error when phases were marked to be managed in Accolade Projects, and the Convert to Phase option on the Manage Task dialog would display incorrect phases. This issue has been fixed, and all phases and tasks, and templates, now behave as expected.

    • Fixed issue with expenditure when creating templates with Accolade projects: Previously, in some instances, when creating a template from an Accolade project, even if Planned Fixed Costs were not selected to be copied over to the template, the set expenditure would appear on the created template. This issue has been fixed, and expenditure is not copied over if not intended to.

    • Fixed inaccurate project owner on integrated Accolade projects: Previously, on some instances on an integrated Accolade projects, the owner of a project would not display, or display inaccurately, on Accolade Projects. This has been rectified, and the correct owner displays in the expected areas.

  • Fixed error when canceling a project

Previously, there were occurrences identified where canceling a project, where the system displayed an error instead of executing. This has been rectified, and the error is no longer shown, and the functionality works as expected.

  • Fixed error when importing project from Excel

Previously, there were instances where an error would display and Excel files would not upload into a project. This has been rectified, and the error is no longer shown, and the functionality works as expected.

  • Fixed duplication of Custom Attributes when templates were added

Previously, sometimes when adding a template to a Custom Attribute, duplicates of the Custom Attributes would be displayed. This has been rectified, the duplication no longer occurs, and the functionality works as expected.

  • Fixed Timeline issue with task scheduling

Previously, when scheduling on the Timeline Gantt chart, if a start or end date was set to Saturday or Sunday, the task would display as the date of the upcoming Monday, and the chart would render using projected dates instead. This has been rectified, and tasks can now be set to the weekend, and the chart renders as expected.

  • Fixed issue with phases on Watefall project

Previously, when editing phases, the drop-down in the Parent field allowed for the same phase to be set as its parent, causing a loop. This has been rectified, you can no longer associate the same phase to each other.

  • Fixed issue with Planned End Dates on projects on reverse planning mode

Previously, on projects set to reverse planning mode, when the Planned End date was set as the Key Date, the Key Date could not be set to before the Planned Start date. However, the Key Date, i.e. the Planned End date in this instance, should be able to be changed to any date, and the system should calculate backwards from the Planned End date and reset the Planned Start date. This issue has been sorted, and the functionality now works as expected.
