Release Notes - April 2026

New Functionality & Enhancements

  • Delegate project work to another user

Users can now hand off project tasks and assign roles to another team member for a defined period, keeping work moving when they are out of office or shifting responsibilities.

Delegations are managed from the DELEGATE WORK tab on the User Account page. The tab gives users a single place to assign their task assignments to other users and to see what has been assigned to them. Two views are available:

    • Outgoing: work the current user has assigned to someone else.

    • Incoming: work that another user has assigned to the current user.

Both views share a common grid layout, and any resource allocation changes that result from a delegation are automatically reflected wherever the assignment appears.

  • Delegate Permissions replaces the previous delegation tabs

Users can now nominate other users to act on their behalf from a single, consolidated screen. This makes it clearer who has been granted access and reduces the number of places to manage delegations.

The new DELEGATE PERMISSIONS tab replaces the previous Outgoing and Incoming delegation tabs. From Delegate Permissions, users can identify colleagues who can act on their behalf and review existing permissions in one view.

  • Set required fields for project creation

Administrators can now require specific project fields to be completed before a project is saved, ensuring that critical information is captured up front and reducing rework later.

A new Required Fields page under the Administer menu lets administrators select fields from the Project Overview tab and choose how strictly each field is enforced. For each field, administrators pick one of three modes:

    • None: the field is not required (default)

    • All Projects: the field is required on every new project

    • Templates: the field is required only for projects created from selected templates

Missing required fields are flagged with a red asterisk, and the project cannot be saved until every required field has a value. Existing projects created before a rule was set will prompt the user to fill-in the required field the next time the project is modified.

  • Re-Open Projects from the Governance Tab

PMO users can now re-open closed projects directly from the product, removing the previous dependency on contacting Wellspring Support and shortening the turnaround for restoring work.

Projects in a Completed, Cancelled, or Archived state now display an enabled re-open icon on the Governance tab. Selecting the icon opens a confirmation dialog; on confirmation, the project returns to its previous status.

A time-stamped entry is automatically added to the Comments/Events tab recording who re-opened the project and the state it was restored from. This action is restricted to users with the PMO role.

  • Updated icons in the Work Breakdown Structure

The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) now uses distinct icons for phases and tasks, making it easier to scan a project at a glance and tell the two apart.

The new icons appear automatically wherever the WBS is displayed; no configuration is required.

Bug Fixes

  • Manage/Projects pages -- Proposed and Submitted filters: the Proposed and Submitted filters previously had to be selected together from a single drop-down. They are now available as independent filters on Accolade Projects, so users can apply either one on its own.

  • Time Entry screen –- tab navigation: users can now move from one field to the next using the Tab key, making time-entry quicker and easier to complete with the keyboard.

  • Time Entry screen – horizontal scroll bar: the unnecessary horizontal scroll bar on the time entry page has been removed, giving users a cleaner view of the form.

  • Manage Projects page –- State column filters: the column filters for State on the Manage Projects page now return the correct results, and filter behavior has been corrected across saved layouts.

  • Project Search -– hover preview: hovering over a project name in Project Search now displays a tooltip with the full name, helping users distinguish between projects with similar or truncated titles.
