New Functionality & Enhancements

  • Acclaim Projects introduces the ability to indicate whether a new user is available to be added as a resource on projects, or not, on user creation

    With this release, when creating a new user, you can specify if the new user is available to be added as a resource on projects, and if so, whether or not it will be possible to request or assign this resource.

    To do this, when creating a new user on Administer > Users, toggle the Available as Resource on Projects button, as necessary. To ensure the new user can be requested or assigned to project items, toggle the Requestable and/or Assignable buttons, as needed.

  • Acclaim Projects now displays time stamps for latest Accolade messages with integrated projects

    Acclaim Projects displays the time stamps for when the first Accolade message and the most recent Accolade message were received for the project.

    To view these time stamps, hover over the Acclaim Projects logo on the top left of your project editor. Another way to view them and to sort by these time stamps on an integrated Accolade project, ensure that the First Accolade Message On and Last Accolade Message On columns are selected to be displayed on your WBS .

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Timeline issues

    • Fixed false cyclical dependency error: Previously, on a project's Timeline, when attempting to create a dependency between two tasks that were not saved, an error would pop up claiming a cyclical dependency. This has been rectified and the error does not show anymore. However, you cannot create a dependency between two tasks until both have been saved first.

    • Fixed Gantt chart dates: Previously, the Timeline Gantt chart utilized the project's Target Start and End dates for the chart, even if the Planned Start and End dates were available. The Gantt chart has been amended to utilize the correct start and end dates, and the Target Start and End dates will only be in use if the project has no children or other items.

    • Fixed auto Task and Phase Target dates: Previously, when Tasks and Phases were created on the Timeline, Acclaim Projects would automatically set a Target Start and End date for them. This could lead to inaccuracy and confusion, and has been corrected with this release. Now, Tasks are not given any target dates, and Phases are given target dates only if they have no children items. If a Phase has children items, Acclaim Projects now dynamically sets the Planned Start and End dates for the Phase, based on the children's dates.

  • Fixed Accolade Integration issues

    • Fixed Accolade deliverables displaying incorrectly on Acclaim Projects when integrated: Previously, in some instances, when integrating an Accolade project with Acclaim Projects, certain deliverables did not migrate over correctly. This issue has been fixed, and all Accolade items move over to Acclaim Projects accurately.

    • Fixed missing updates on partially managed Accolade projects: In some instances where only particular stages in an Accolade project were being managed with Acclaim Projects, there would be discrepancies in items when creating new deliverables on Accolade. This issue was identified as a delay. To see updates made in Accolade reflected on Acclaim Projects, ensure to refresh the page.

  • Fixed issue with creating Templates from Projects included in a Program

    Previously, when creating a project template from a project that is in a program, the created project template would also be added to the program; but project templates must not be listed in programs. This issue has been fixed now, and templates are no longer default assigned to programs.

  • Fixed inaccurate Checklist count in Task Editor

    Previously, when editing a task, if you added a Checklist item to it, the displayed count would not increase and stayed at zero. This has been rectified, and the count increases as expected.

Acclaim Projects November 2024 has no deprecated or removed functionality.
